According to a city official, a conference center would make Brookfield the go-to Wisconsin urban, suburban community. Recent market studies showed that the western metro area lacked a full-service event and meeting space.
The Brookfield Conference Center is a joint venture between the City of Brookfield and Visit Brookfield. Our proud partner North Central Group, a highly regarded hotel property management firm with 35 years of development, ownership, & operation experience in the luxury hotel industry, is building and running The Hilton Garden Inn and the new conference center.
The concept for the Brookfield Conference Center was first conceived in 2012, and throughout the ensuing years, countless hours were spent developing, revising, and finalizing it.
Additionally, the place was carefully chosen. The Brookfield Conference Center’s location in Brookfield Square’s Entertainment District was essential to its overall success.
Easy proximity to I-94, dining establishments, shops, and more motels has proven to be crucial for the facility’s sales and marketing.
The Brookfield Common Council and Plan Commission evaluated and approved the conceptual ideas and preliminary drawings in June 2018, which marked a significant advancement in the plans that had been underway since early 2017.
The property’s real estate transaction closed on June 28, 2018. On October 10, 2018, the Conference Center’s construction began. In July 2020, the Brookfield Conference Center will be formally inaugurated.
44,000 square feet of conference space may be found at the Brookfield Conference Center. With an 18,000-square-foot ballroom and a second 6,000-square-foot ballroom, the hotel’s flexible design enables guests to use both areas differently for different layouts and events.
