2. Miami Circle Historic Landmark

Dr. Robert S. Carr, an archaeologist, discovered the circle while investigating a pair of high-rise building construction sites. The circle also led to some black earth midden deposits.
The discovery also yielded ceramic, shell, stone, and bone artifacts from the Tequesta and Glades cultures.
It was later discovered that the items belonged to a 36-foot-diameter perfect circle.
They also found 24 other holes, all perfect circles, during the dig.
